In the north-east of Madagascar the NGO Medair is working on the improvement of the water and sanitation situation in two communities of the district of Maroantsetra. Medair has experiences with the jetting manual drilling method but requested assistance for the use of the rota sludge method adapted for the consolidated layers.
Three drilling teams have been equipped and trained on the rota sludge drilling method.
Evaluation, follow-up, additional training and the extension of number of private drilling team in the frame of the submission of an EU water facility project of access water for the poor in the rural areas.
